STRATEGIES

RR-12.1 Identify existing disaster preparedness, response and recovery training programs for local government staff. Assess the content and outcome of different training programs, and provide guidance for municipal and county governments to select an effective training program for the local context.

RR-12.2 Include climate risk training as part of emergency management training, inclusive of staff and elected officials. Training should advance understanding of interdependencies and cascading impacts across systems in an emergency management situation.
