U.S. states and regions are taking action into their own hands, with 34 states and the District of Columbia formulating their own climate action plans. In Florida, local-level government officials—including those involved in the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact—are stepping in to ensure the state moves forward on climate, and residents are being encouraged to act on the individual level.
