SUMMARY:Onsite Solar Readiness and Resilience Webinar
DESCRIPTION:On July 1st\, 1:00 – 2:00 PM EST the Compact hosted a webinar in partnership with Converge Strategies\, LLC and FL Solar United Neighbors (FL-SUN)\, focused on onsite solar readiness and resilience. Converge Strategies\, LLC is a consulting firm focused on the intersection of clean energy\, resilience\, and national security. FL-SUN is a non-profit organization that helps Floridians go solar\, through education\, resources\, and solar co-ops. \nLocal governments are trusted messengers and play an important role in community outreach\, education\, and engagement to advance the deployment of onsite and rooftop solar. This webinar aims to support local government staff to help close knowledge gaps and provide technical information to fully support residents’ understanding of solar installation and potential resilience benefits. \nThe webinar featured a presentation on onsite solar readiness\, use cases of solar+storage\, costs of resilient solar PV\, and ancillary technical requirements. \nWatch Recording
