The Florida Institute of Health Innovation Selected to Lead Regional Hurricane Response Hub

The Florida Institute for Health Innovation (FIHI) has been chosen to lead one of five regional technical assistance centers for the Hurricane Response Hub initiative, led by the National Network of Public Health Institutes. The Hurricane Response Hub will provide training, technical assistance and resources to health departments, public health institutes, emergency management, law enforcement, health care providers, government entities, and other organizations to build workforce capacity and institutional knowledge that improves disaster-related recovery in the future. Supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the initiative responds to the increasing role the public health workforce plays in disaster response and in building overall community resilience. For more information about the Hurricane Response Hub or to submit a technical assistance request, visit www.nnphi.org/hurricane-response-hub or send an email to [email protected].
