As king tide season arrives, more South Florida cities brace for sea level rise

Local governments in South Florida are being more proactive this king tide season. They are not only working on their own initiatives, but in concert with others to find ways to defend against sea level rise. The Compact’s Annual Climate Leadership Summit in October and several county- and municipal-led efforts across the region are noted as steady improvements to addressing the challenges of and adapting to sea level rise that deserve recognition.
